Barton & Guestier Cabernet Sauvignon

Several years ago a woman in my local supermarket noticed that I was having difficulty picking a red wine for a get together I was having at my house. She offered her assistance and asked what varietals I preferred. I told her that I liked Cabernet Sauvignon and that I didn't want to break the bank with this purchase. She replied with a heavy French accent that Barton & Guestier's Cabernet Sauvignon was an excellent choice. In fact, the B&G vineyard is located in the area of France that she was originally from.

I decided to take a chance on her recommendation and I was sold after my first sip. It is strong with a complex bouquet has lots of volume and has powerful tannins. This is a great bottle that can be enjoyed either with dinner or simply sitting with friends after a long day. You can purchase it at most supermarkets for around $8.00.
